Crush the Stigma

About

Sea Change Recovery Community Organization (RCO) and Harm Reduction Center (HRC) with a mission to crush the stigma of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and what it means to be in recovery.

Located in rural Ocean County, NJ, Sea Change works to reduce the negative consequences associated with addiction, address the consequences of the opioid crisis, eliminate the stigma surrounding substance use disorders, and provide tools, resources, and support to individuals and the community to save lives.

Our team of state-certified Peer Support Specialists uses our lived experience to cut through stigma, shame, and judgment, offering authentic peer support, resource connection, harm reduction, and community education to combat the public stigma associated with addiction.

Our Vision

With intentional strategy and lived experience, we create greater health equity, human dignity, and mutual respect. By building power to de-stigmatize and end the devastating addiction and overdose crisis, we are pushing back on the “war on drugs” that has systematically stigmatized, criminalized, and isolated people with SUD.
